Public spaces usually address the common use, often 24/7, such as roundabouts, airports, railway and metro stations etc. The lighting equipment used here needs to have low energy consumption, optimal lighting performances, low to no maintenance, so that the public institutions can be looked upon as models to economical and ecological approach to the expenditure of public funds.
