Good Design award for VISION SYSTEM
At the end of our anniversary year of 2022, in which we celebrated our three decades of existence, the Chicago Museum of Design and Architecture once again honored us with a Good Design Award.
This time among the winners of this prestigious award was our intelligent and all-inclusive VISION system designed especially for tunnel lighting.

Our orientation towards premium quality and production of premium lighting products was confirmed by the acknowledgement Global 100 - Best Premium Class Lighting Equipment Manufacturer of the Year - Germany
Good Design award for System S
At the very end of this unusual 2020, we have received the notification that BUCK’s system for architectural lighting SYSTEM S is this year’s winner of Good Design award, acknowledgement by Chicago Atheneaum museum of design and architecture. This is the lucky 13th Good Design award for BUCK’s applied design that has marked the year behind us. The information about the system will be published in online exhibition adn yearbook for 2020.
First prize for applied art for Light for Life flipbooks
The flip books that were designed for BUCK by illustrator/ animator/ professor of applied arts Rastko Ciric were awarded with First prize for applied art on the occasion of 15th International Biennial of Miniature Art in Gornji Milanovac. The booklets were produced and distributed as promotional material for BUCK during the fair Light+ Building in 2018 under the name Light for Life.
Regina winner of Good design award
Industrial luminaire REGINA was given Good Design Award. This innovative luminaire combines BUCK’s experience in industrial and street lighting, by enabling highly efficient lighting in production facilities and high bay warehouses.
Award for excellence in medical lighting Solutions
According the criteria of the online magazine Markets monthly, organizer of International Frontier Markets award 2017, BUCK was awarded for Excellence in Medical Lighting Solutions.
Nikola Tesla medal for Darko Budeč from Tesla Science Foundation
During the visit to USA, in May 2017, Darko Budeč met with representatives of Serbian diaspora on East Coast. On the occasion, Mr Nikola Lonchar, president of Tesla Science Foundation, honored Mr. Budec with Nikola Tesla medal.
Special acknowledgement of Fair of Novi Sad for VIHOR
Street luminaire VIHOR is winner of special acknowledgement for the best product in the field of Energy Efficiency on 6th International Days of Energy and Investment.
MISTRAL winner of Good design award
Street lighting family MISTRAL was acknowledged with Good design award. The open design concept was recognized as unique and innovative, as was its modularity (the power increases by simply adding new LED modules) and serviceability.
Award for Best in Lighting Design and Products – Eastern Europe
According the criteria of the online magazine Markets monthly, organizer of International Frontier Markets award 2017,
BUCK was awarded Best in Lighting Design and Products- Eastern Europe.
Good Design Award for luminaire QUARTZ
QUARTZ, luminaire for hospital lighting, is another one in row of BUCK’s winners of Good Design Award 2016. The luminaire enables easy work of medical staff and quick recovery of patients with design, glare limitation and possibility of temperature color management and dynamic white.

GUA, table luminaire inviting interaction and adjusting the configuration as needed, is Good Design Award winner for 2016.
Aleksandar Šaletić award by ULUPUDS
The acknowledgement of ULUPUDS (Association of Applied Artists of Serbia) is awarded each year for exceptional design of Serbian artists. Architect Bogdan Slavica was acknowledged for the project of stand which presented BUCK during Light+ Building 2014-2016. The award is named after Aleksandar Šaletić, architect in charge for the interior design of a famous congress facility Centar Sava in Belgrade, Serbia.
Special mention of German Design Council for stand design at Light+Building fair 2014-2016
German Design Council awarded Special mention for the stand which BUCK used for fair presentation during Light+ Building 2014-2016. Enterprise award by WIPO
BUCK is winner of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization form Geneva, Switzerland) IP Enterprise Trophy for contribution in industrial design, with over 20 registered and commercialized designs. The acknowledgement was handed during the celebration of 95-year jubilee of Intellectual Property Agency of Serbia.
Iconic Award for BUCK’s stand from Light+ Building fair 2014-2016
German Design Council, within the competition Iconic Design Award, awards the concept of connecting diverse disciplines (architecture, communication, concepts, products). In the category Exhibitions, which includes fair exhibition, the work of arch. Bogdan Slavica for BUCK’s stand at Light+ Building 2014-2016 was awarded. The recognizability, functionality, as well as recyclability were the decisive features of this work,
which was available for 180.000 trade fair visitors in 2014 and 200.000 in 2016.
Good Design Award for Calendar 2015
BUCK’s holistic approach to design was awarded in the category Graphic design, for the calendar for 2015, author Rastko Ciric. This calendar was inspired by hand shadow puppets, which, together with a short informative text, originally represents important personalities in lighting science.
Good Design Award for catalog Light Up
The catalog Light Up, presenting BUCK’s product range at the Light+ Building 2014 fair, is winner of Good Design Award for graphic design, work of Olivera Miletic and Rastko Ciric. This is third in a row award for this catalog (next to IF design award and German Design Award).
Good design award for luminaire SIMPLE
SIMPLE is the winner of Good design award 2014, by Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design.
The author of this luminaire with two faces and two light effects is BUCK’s longtime associate, architect Bogdan Slavica. SIMPLE is exhibited in the on-line exposition on the following address https://chi-athenaeum.org/lighting-2014/ and in the Good design award yearbook.
BUCK Best employer in 2014
BUCK was awarded Best employer in 2014, evaluated by our own employees for the electric, electronic and illumination industry. The award was given by Infostud, the leading portal for HR and recruiting in Serbia.
Luminaire E awarded with IF product design award 2013
Every year, International Forum Design (IF) awards excellent design in different categories. The design of Vesna Pejovic from Kako.Ko design studio has this time been awarded for a simple and effective design of luminaire E in the category Lighting. IF award was founded in Germany 60 years ago and has the reputation as one of the most important world design competitions, gathering the most important brands and designers from all over the world.
Award by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for Tangram
In 2014 the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce gave the award for the best designer solution in 2013 for the luminaire TANGRAM of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded product is our colleague from design and research team, Đorđe Živanović.

Good design award for BUCK’s E LAMP
E lamp is this year’s winner of Good design award 2012, given by Chicago Museum of Architecture and design. The author of this lighting object is design studio Kako.Ko (Vesna Pejović).This is the second award in this year alone that E has received for excellent design. Award by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for best designer solution for luminaire AIRO
BUCK’s innovative product AIRO is winner of the award for best designer solution for 2011/12. The award is given by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, while the authors of design are Miroslav Zivanović, chief of BUCK’s R&D and designer Dušan Nešić.
Darko Budeč is Enterpreneur of the year
Ernst& Young has organized the competition for Entrepreneur of the year, for the first time in 2012 in Serbia. Darko Budec, founder and president of the company BUCK, was awarded this title by an independent jury consisting of eminent experts, scientists and entrepreneurs. The award Entrepreneur of the year has started in USA 26 years ago, and now extends to 50 countries and 140 cities around the world.
Good design award for three BUCK’s products: ANCORA, MINI VELA 1 SYSTEM AND LUCIA
ANCORA, MINI VELA 1 SYSTEM and LUCIA are winners of the Good design award 2011, awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The authors of the design are Mr Rade Nikolić (ANCORA), prof. Dušan Vuksan (MINI VELA 1 SYSTEM) and prof. Dušan Nešić (LUCIA). Good design is an international award founded in 1950. Every year they receive several thousand applications from all over the world, from small and anonymous companies and from the biggest international brands.
2011 Award by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for best designer solution for luminaire PINA
In 2011 the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce gave the award for the best designer solution in 2010 for the luminaire PINA of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded product is a young member of BUCK’s design and research team, Đorđe Živanović.
2010 IF coomunication design award for BUCK’s booth
BUCK’s booth at Light+ Building fair i2010 in Frankfurt was given IF communication design award for corporate architecture and expositions. The author of concept of the booth is the design studio Kako.Ko with Vesna Pejović, while technical development was done by manager of BUCK’s R&D Miroslav Živanović. The coordinator of the whole project was Gordana Graovčević, head of design department of BUCK. The booth was completely produced in BUCK’s plant in Belgrade. IF design award is a prestigious award revealing and awarding best world design for over 50 years.
2010 Award by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for best designer solution for luminaire ANCORA
In 2010 the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce gave the award for the best designer solution in 2009 for the luminaire ANCORA of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded product is Mr Rade Nikolic.
2009 Red dot product design award for MEDICO system
Red dot product design award, one of the world’s most prestigious design awards, has been given to MEDICO system of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded system for illumination and medical gasses distribution is professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts Dušan Nešić. BUCK is the first Serbian company to have this considerable award.
2009 Grand prix of May salon for MEDICO system
ULUPUDS (Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia) awarded the Gran prix of the May salon to the system MEDICO. This product was bought from the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade, which includes exposition for the next, 42nd May salon to the author, prof. Dušan Nešić. The May salon is the most important event for applied arts in Serbia, organized by ULUPUDS for over 50 years
2008 Award by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for best designer solution for luminaire VELA
In 2008 the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce gave the award for the best designer solution in 2007 for the luminaire VELA of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded product is professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts Dušan Vuksan.
2009 Award by Belgrade Chamber of commerce for best designer solution for luminaire ATOS
In 2009 the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce gave the award for the best designer solution in 2008 for the luminaire ATOS of BUCK’s production. The author of the awarded product is professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts Dušan Nešić.
2006 Pro Business Leader
Pro Buisness Leader is the award we have obtained in March 2007, as the most successful medium enterprise. The prize is traditionally awarded by the expert jury of ProCredit Bank to the SME’s for good performances, with the aim of promoting positive examples of entrepreneurship.
